Source policy and change log

This page explains which source answers which question and records material editorial changes.

Direct answerOfficial pages are preferred for platform features and policies; live destination pages are required for current listing details; community posts are used only to identify questions and language.

Source priority

  1. Government and carrier sources for laws, customs and transport rules.
  2. OOPBuy pages for OOPBuy’s own current statements and interfaces.
  3. Live PickFound records for the external category or listing destination used by this site.
  4. Marketplace pages for seller-controlled listing details.
  5. Community discussions only for recurring concerns, never as proof of quality or safety.

What happens when sources disagree

We keep the higher-authority source for factual policy statements, note meaningful uncertainty and avoid merging incompatible numbers. A current checkout or quote can supersede an older guide for a transaction-specific amount.
