How to check OOPBuy QC photos without overreading them
Review the received item in three passes: confirm identity, judge whether the photos support a fair comparison, then record only the differences that could change your decision.
Use three passes instead of a flaw hunt

Start with identity, not small details
Open the order record and the exact option saved earlier. Check the visible color, size or model marking, quantity and included parts before examining stitching, finish or alignment. If the variant cannot be matched, treat that as the primary issue; a detailed review of the wrong option does not resolve it.
Make the comparison fair
Lighting, camera distance, perspective and compression can make color, proportions and surface texture look different. Compare the same area from a similar angle. A ruler must start and end at defined points, lie in the same plane as the item and remain readable. If those conditions are absent, record the measurement as unresolved rather than estimating from the image.
Record what is visible and what is inferred

Apply the item-specific overlay
The core method stays the same, but the decision-critical views differ. Use the shoe evidence guide for pair consistency and size markings, the clothing guide for garment measurements and construction, the bag guide for dimensions and hardware, or the glasses guide for frame alignment and dimensions.
Choose the next action
- Proceed: identity matches, required views are comparable and the remaining uncertainty is acceptable to you.
- Compare: another reference, angle or measurement could materially change the decision.
- Stop: the option is wrong, a blocking difference is visible or the evidence cannot resolve a required condition in time.
When more evidence could help, use the QC request builder to name one exact view or measurement. Do not ask for more photos without defining the question they need to answer.
What QC photos cannot establish
QC images can document visible information about the photographed item at that time. They cannot establish authenticity, hidden materials, comfort, odor, internal construction, long-term durability, seller reliability, customs treatment or delivery condition. A platform label such as quality inspection is not a substitute for your own evidence boundary.

Should I compare QC photos with marketing images?
Use the exact live listing and your saved option as context, but compare only like-for-like visible areas. Marketing lighting, editing and camera angles can make direct visual judgments unreliable.
Does a clear QC photo prove the item is authentic?
No. It can show visible features of the photographed item but cannot establish authenticity or hidden construction.
What should I do when a measurement photo is unclear?
Keep the measurement unresolved and request a new image that names the endpoints, ruler placement and required viewing angle.
