OOPBuy listing evidence worksheet

Use this field record after discovering a product link and before submitting or paying for an order.

Direct answerRecord the exact live URL, seller-controlled claims, selected variant, visible evidence, missing evidence and next action. A row is ready only when you can distinguish what you observed from what you still need to confirm.

If you have not selected a candidate yet, begin with the evidence-first spreadsheet workflow.

Copy these fields before comparing products

Field Record Why it matters
Source identity Final URL, marketplace, item ID and access date A redirect or reused listing can change the product behind a saved link.
Exact option Color, size, batch, model and quantity The default option may not be the one shown in the spreadsheet.
Seller claim Title, material, dimensions and included items These are claims until supported by later evidence.
Visible observation What the current page or image actually shows Observation should not be expanded into an authenticity or durability claim.
Unknown Missing measurements, unclear image, restriction or policy An explicit unknown can trigger a comparison or stop decision.

Use a two-column evidence note

On the left, write the precise claim: for example, “selected option says black, size 42.” On the right, write the evidence location: current option control, size table, seller image or warehouse measurement photo. If there is no evidence location, label the statement “unconfirmed.”

Choose the next action

  • Go: identity and option match, no blocking restriction appears and the remaining uncertainty is acceptable.
  • Compare: the candidate is usable but another listing, measurement or final-cost input may change the decision.
  • Stop: the product changed, the exact option cannot be matched, a restriction appears or a material claim has no usable evidence.

Recheck points

Repeat the identity and option check before payment. At warehouse arrival, compare the order record with the received item and use the QC request builder. Before parcel submission, replace estimates with measured values in the parcel assumption sheet.

Worksheet questions

Does completing the worksheet verify a seller?

No. It documents the evidence available to you and the unknowns. It does not certify seller conduct, authenticity or future fulfillment.

When should I create a new record?

Create a new record when the final URL, item identity, seller, batch or material option changes. Do not silently overwrite a different candidate.
